Happy Holly-Daze!

We're getting close to my second favorite holiday of the year....the first being my birthday (of course! and by the way, why the hell hasn't Hallmark got it printed on their stupid little purse calendars yet???).
Anydoodle...one of my favorite parts of the Christmas holiday season is all of the parties and get-togethers that we attend. I LOVE a good reason to snag a yummy cocktail, and Christmas parties have some of the best themed cocktails that just don't taste as good at any other time of the year. What better way to make the spirit bright than to imbibe many "spirits"??
Here are a few of my faves:

Bailey's Snowball:
2 oz. Baileys Original Irish Cream (25 oz. per bottle)
.25 oz. raspberry liqueur
1 splash(es) grenadine

Bailey's Minty Mistletoe:
2 oz. Baileys Original Irish Cream (25 oz. per bottle)
.25 oz. Rumple Minze (25 oz. per bottle)

Black Dream Martini:
1 oz. Smirnoff Black Cherry Flavored Vodka (25 oz. per bottle)
1 oz. Godiva Mocha Liqueur (25 oz. per bottle)
.5 oz. milk
1 splash(es) grenadine

And a few more recipes without the gratuitous pictures, but still fully capable of providing a full-blown drunken stupor just in time for all of the family gatherings:

SKYY Candy Cane:

3/4 oz SKYY Berry vodka
3/4 oz Peppermint Schnapps
3/4 oz
white Crème de Cacao
1/4 oz grenadine
half and half
Soda water
Preparation:
Pour the vodka, Peppermint Schnapps, white Creme de Cacao and
grenadine into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well.
Pour into a
cocktail glass rimmed with crushed peppermint candy.
Fill with half and half.
Top with a splash of
soda water.

Aspenlicious:

2 parts Pearl Lo Coco (Coconut) Vodka
1/2 part Amaretto
1/2 part Coffee Liqueur
1/2 part rum
1/2 part Irish Crème
splash Half & Half
dash chocolate syrup
topped with grated white chocolate
Preparation:
Coat a
martini glass with the dark chocolate syrup.
Wet the rim with chocolate syrup and dip in grated white chocolate.
In a pint glass, mix liquid ingredients with ice,
shake and strain into chocolate-coated glass.
Garnish with the grated chocolate on the surface of the cocktail.

Frostbite:
1 1/2 oz tequila
1/2 oz white crème de cacao
1/2 oz blue curaçao
1/2 oz cream
maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation:
Pour the ingredients into a
cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled
cocktail glass or in an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry

They're all a tad on the sweet side, but what the hell? It's the holidays....pack on those pounds! You'll be drunk when you make your New Year's Resolution to lose all of the extra weight you gained anyway, so it's not like you're going to be held accountable!
